Technology pervades Canadian society, which makes technology a key part of police investigations in many respects. Investigative and forensic techniques applied to technology require specialized knowledge and skill. The Technological Crime Learning Institute offers a variety of advanced courses that train police personnel to investigate crimes involving technology ranging from digital devices to the Internet and cloud services. This training is delivered by instructors and facilitators that are police officers or law-enforcement and private sector subject matter experts skilled in knowledge domains of technological crime investigation and digital forensics.
